Real talk, Sacred Endings and Support that sees your Soul.

Whether you're managing the daily realities of caregiving, facing tough medical decisions, or trying to prepare for what’s ahead—you don’t have to carry it all alone.

With nearly 30 years working as a nurse, I’ve stood beside hundreds of families through the overwhelming, heartbreaking, and meaningful moments of caregiving and end-of-life planning. I’ve seen firsthand how preparation and support makes all the difference.

I offer practical tools, real-world guidance, and emotional support to help you handle today’s challenges—and make confident, compassionate plans for the future.

Because true support means standing with you now—and helping you prepare for what's next.

A “Not-So-Serious” Guide to Dying Well

Guessing games should be for trivia night, not life’s biggest decisions. This guide makes it easier, lighter, and actually empowering. Created by a seasoned RN who’s seen it all, this is not your average checklist. It’s a conversation-starting, clarity-giving, future-proofing tool designed to help you document what matters most. Because guessing shouldn’t be part of your family’s goodbye.

Meet Kathryn

You’re probably on this page because you’re trying to figure out if I’m someone you can trust to guide you through caregiving, planning ahead, or just surviving this season.

Before I tell you about my credentials, here’s what matters most:

I know what it’s like to stand in hospital rooms and family rooms, watching people I care about crumble under the weight of caregiving, crisis, and impossible choices. I didn’t just study this in textbooks. I lived it.

After 30 years in healthcare, I’ve seen the hidden side of caregiving and end-of-life moments most people never talk about: the exhaustion, the quiet heartbreak, the resentment, the guilt, the love that feels so heavy sometimes it hurts. And the silence that surrounds preparing for death, when what we really need is clarity, courage, and conversation.

I started Final Journey because families deserve better. They deserve real support before the crisis. They deserve clear guidance during the chaos. They deserve dignity, peace, and clarity as they prepare for the hardest goodbyes.

This work isn't glamorous. It's gritty, sacred, human work—and it’s the work I believe I was meant to do.

Whether you’re here for a free guide, personalized support, or just because you're trying to catch your breath between caregiving duties—you’re welcome here.

I’m not here to make your journey perfect. I’m here to make it lighter, clearer, and a little more human.

Let’s work together.

“Losing my brother and sister-in-law together in a tragic accident was a heartbreaking reminder of how fragile and unpredictable life can be. It made me realize how important it is to take intentional steps toward the legacy I want to leave for my family. That’s why working with Kathryn felt not only necessary but deeply personal. She walked me through thoughtful, compassionate conversations about end-of-life planning and helped me consider scenarios I hadn’t thought of. With her guidance, I was able to make decisions that give me peace of mind, knowing I’m leaving something meaningful behind for my children. I’m genuinely grateful for the clarity and comfort this process has brought me. ”

“Kathryn has a lovely way of dealing with the complex issues to figure out a concrete plan for one’s final days. From Medicare to hospice, to nursing homes and hospitals, this journey has many landmines for families and the elderly; Kathryn’s medical background and industry expertise is such a helpful resource to find a direct route through the chaos. In a lengthy process with my father’s end of life, I learned that death is sometimes a gentle option: before this year, I did not know all the reasons you could or would refuse medical support to sustain life, and now..I understand that quality of life is so much more valuable than quantity of years.

Most importantly in this journey with my father, I’ve learned that planning for death for myself is a gift not only for my own peace of mind but a gift to my children so they do not have to forge through such a complicated territory alone! “
